Quack

Yes, I am a 'quack', but that's another story .... :)
Today was one of those days where you just HAD to get out and DO something! We were going to go to the park and fly a kite but it was not windy enough, so we went to the river and fed the ducks. Actually I think they were more like swans or geese, although I am not real sure of the difference, I do know they liked the bread :) It is funny how you feed one or two and without them leaving to alert their 'friends' or sqwaking or anything, more came from every corner just as fast as they could! So we got rid of some bread and I really was wishing we had some more cause they just kept coming and I felt bad. Soon after they realized we weren't giving them anything else, they slowly started to dissipate. We walked along the edge of the river. The sun was trying to peak through thte dark clouds and the weather could not make up its mind if it wanted to rain or not. Xavier and Matthew were skipping rocks and Trinity was just skipping along. Scott picked up a feather and told her to try to wet it, which she happily plunged into the water, then handed it back to Scott. I, not having a clue about wildlife or what the point of that was, asked what are you doing?! He informed me that they produced an oil of some sort to keep them dry. HUH? Yes, the water rolls right off of them so they don't get wet. Wow, you learn something new everyday! I never heard that before and it really got me thinking about all kinds of stuff. Crazy how my brain works... You got a duck (or swan) that stays dry and I am contemplating life!
Life has been a a pretty bumpy ride the last few weeks. I have alot of personal issues I am fighting lately and it is easy to become cold, bitter, discouraged or whatever. So as I thought about the duck and the water rolling off his back, I told myself I needed to let the "water" roll of my back. All the negative feelings just needs to roll away... and I need to get on with it!
Anyway prayers are still needed and appreciated!

We started with 2...
And more started to come

Then we had a bunch and no bread left! :(

It was a good day. I like those kind!

Oh wow, that was a great lesson to you from God. I am glad that you are able to keep the trials you're going through in perspective.
I loved seeing the photos, you all look just like you did when I left. It seems like it's been forever and everyone should have changed but you didn't, and I'm glad.
I miss Croatia and all of you very much. I feel like we should be enjoying the states but we're are just enduring until Nov. I know I'm suppose to be content where ever I am but I sure would like to be there.
Hang in there girlly, Help is on the way, in 230 days exactly!

Looks like a place my kids would love to hang out at. Praying that God will give you grace and peace as you deal with life's struggles. So glad He is always a prayer away. When we are at our weakest, He is there with His strong and loving arms. I am always here if you need to vent. I may not know what to say, but I will definitely listen. :)
